Madelayne Cordero

STEP MIAMI CHAIR | Chief Fiduciary Officer and Head of Trust, Amerant Bank

Madelayne Cordero is the Chief Fiduciary Officer- Head of Trust with Amerant Bank. She is responsible for fiduciary and estate planning services to its private wealth clients both domestic and international.

Madelayne serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Miami Chapter, the Board of Directors of Immaculata- LaSalle High School and is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association and the FIU Business Women Leadership Program Advisory Board.

Anabella Murillo

STEP MIAMI VICE CHAIR | Managing Director, Private Wealth Americas at IQ EQ Trust Company, U.S.

Anabella Murillo is Managing Director, Private Wealth, the Americas, and is based in Miami. She has more than 15 years of experience in the international and domestic area. Anabella focuses on developing and expanding the latam market with U.S. connections, and be a bridge between Latin America and the U.S. by offering U.S. trust/fiduciary services. She works with financial institutions and centers of influence to meet the cross-border needs of family and enterprise groups. She also brings experience in entity management, trustee, and financial services, working along with South American families with U.S. connections. In her previous role, Anabella spent more than three years as Director of Business Development working for a trust company, company management and fund service provider with a worldwide presence. Prior to that, she was the Director of International Wealth structuring for a financial institution, focusing on Mexico, Colombia and Peru. Anabella spent seven years specializing in entity management and financial services as a Business Development and Sales Manager at a professional trustee company. During her previous roles, she successfully developed new business opportunities with high-net-worth individuals in South America. She has worked in Caracas, Miami, New York, San Francisco and San Diego, and she has experience advising clients at Ernst & Young on their corporate and tax matters. Anabella received her Law degree (J.D.) from Universidad Católica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela. She is a certified Trust and Estate Practitioner by Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a member of the board of STEP Miami. She speaks Spanish and English fluently.

Art Dichter

Art Dichter has more than 30 years of experience assisting international private clients with planning and compliance for foreign trusts, cross-border estates, pre-immigration strategies, investments in US real estate and US tax compliance matters. He is the leader of BPB’s International Tax Services Group, one of South Florida’s largest international tax teams with more than 30 group members.

Diego Polenghi

Branch Events Officer | Senior Vice President, PNC Bank

Diego Y. Polenghi is a senior vice president and market leader for PNC Bank in Miami. He oversees a team of relationship strategists and business developers and is responsible for all aspects of client origination and service.

Diego has over 30 years’ experience in traditional private banking and wealth management. Prior to PNC, Diego served as International Planning Group’s (IPG) managing director for Latin America where he partnered with leading financial institutions to provide ultra-high-net-worth clients and their families and businesses across the region with life insurance-based wealth structuring and succession planning solutions.

Past experience also includes time with UBS Global Executive Group and Banque Privee BCP (Suisse) S.A. in Geneva. He is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics.

Jennifer Wioncek

Jennifer is a highly experienced tax attorney with extensive expertise in handling the tax and succession planning needs of high net worth clients for domestic and cross-border families. Her broad practice covers international and domestic tax and estate planning issues, pre-immigration tax planning, expatriation tax planning, private trust company structuring, cross-border estate administration, tax structuring for real estate funds with foreign investors, and other tax structuring for investment into the United States, and the acquisition, maintenance, and sale of U.S. real estate by foreigners.

Maria Toledo

Maria helps domestic and foreign privately-held companies, closely-held businesses, and high-net worth individuals navigate the tax compliance experience as they conduct business in the U.S.

A leader of the firm’s offshore voluntary disclosure and streamlined procedures program, Maria has counseled more than 100 clients with undisclosed income from offshore accounts to minimize their tax and reduce penalties. She also provides international tax planning and structuring services to foreign clients interested in U.S. real estate. Maria helps them comply with the Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act (FIRPTA) and obtain withholding certificates.  Maria has worked with international tax clients, including multi-national corporations, foreign nationals, and expatriates, for more than 18 years.

She is a member of the Financial & International Business Association (FIBA) Women’s Leadership Committee and is director of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ Miami branch (STEP Miami).

She serves as the Chair of the firm’s diversity equity and inclusion, including Kaufman Rossin Empowering Women, dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture and advancing employees’ leadership skills.

Maria is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Megan Campos

Megan E. Campos is a partner at Grant, Herrmann, Schwartz & Klinger LLP (“GHSK”) and the head of GHSK’s Miami office. With over 12 years of legal experience, Megan’s practice focuses on international tax and estate planning for high-net-worth, cross-border families. She has extensive experience advising on the structuring of U.S. real estate investments for non-U.S. persons, cross-border matters related to trusts and trust-like structures, and both pre- immigration and expatriation planning. The core of her practice focuses on designing tax- efficient structures for multinational families that preserve their wealth while at the same time taking into consideration their non-tax objectives. Megan also has experience with international tax compliance and multi-jurisdictional business and corporate matters.

Oscar Guerra

Oscar J. Oscar has a broad and deep understanding of the different structures and solutions suited for HNW families and entrepreneurs, with focus on Latin American clients. He currently serves as the Head of Wealth Planning for the Americas at EFG Capital International (a subsidiary of EFG Bank AG). He previously held high level positions at other organizations, including global corporate services providers, and financial institutions such as Lombard International Assurance, and Scotiabank. Oscar holds a JD-equivalent in Venezuela, an LLM from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, as well as an MBA from Florida International University.

Patricia Carral

Patricia Carral is a Wealth Planner/Director for Citi Trust who works closely with clients from Colombia and Peru to develop and implement effective strategies to help protect and transfer wealth to family. She brings over fifteen years of experience in the wealth planning industry working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals with both offshore and US planning needs. Patricia has experience in insurance and estate planning. She worked with International Wealth Protection as an insurance broker. For most of her career with HSBC and AMICORP, Patricia served as a Wealth Planner covering Latin America. Patricia holds a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Chemistry from Florida International University. She is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and serves as Secretary of the Miami STEP branch board. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Rahul Ranadive

Rahul Ranadive, a shareholder at Carlton Fields, has over 20 years of experience advising international high net worth families on global estate and trust planning, private banking, and other personal tax matters. He advises closely held family businesses on a wide range of international and domestic tax and corporate issues. Having been raised in two cultures, Rahul understands the difficulties faced by families spread across multiple jurisdictions as they deal with cross-border succession planning and tax-minimization issues, helping him to develop tax plans that achieve efficiency and global tax minimization through bilateral income tax treaties, residency planning, income-sourcing strategies, valuation discounts, and foreign tax credits.

Ricardo Souto

Ricardo J. Souto is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he practices taxation, estate planning and corporate planning and is Co-Chair of the Tax & International Law Practice Group.

Ricardo regularly represents and advises foreign clients on their investments in the United States and related U.S. income tax and estate planning matters. He represents numerous domestic clients in matters involving corporate mergers and acquisitions, income tax planning, and corporate structuring. He also advises clients on federal tax planning as well as state and local tax issues.

Susie Belanger

She specializes in creating “green” events and offers clients the option to implement eco-friendly practices. She has an MBA in International Business from the University of Miami.
